
Corona, Calif. (Feb. 26, 2013) - The Lucas Oil Drag Boat Series has cancelled the Gila River Desert Challenge scheduled for May 17-19, 2013 at Firebird Raceway in Chandler, Ariz., due to contractual time constraints.
Lucas Oil is pleased to announce a new marketing partnership with Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. (BRP) and its Evinrude Engine line-up.
As part of the sponsorship package, Lucas Oil will incorporate the Evinrude engines to power the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series’ Spider recovery boat and Course Set Up boat. The Evinrude Rescue Team will equip their recovery boat with an Evinrude 75 horsepower motor, and an Evinrude 30 horsepower motor will be supplied for the course set up boat. In addition, LODBRS will operate two GTI-130 Sea-Doo water craft to tow boats and perform other race related duties on the water.

(February 28, 2013) – Some of the best professional inshore anglers and co-anglers will converge on Chalmette, La., for the Lucas Oil IFA Pro-Am Redfish Challenge Presented by Cabela’s on March 8-10. The event, which is the first of two high-stakes, made-for-TV competitions, features a three-day format with over 100-percent cash payout guaranteed.

Following a lengthy 20 year haitus, Lucas Oil is pleased and excited to announce plans for the staging of the 2013 Irvine Lake California Classic drag boat races on Irvine Lake in Silverado, California, located in Orange County. Scheduled for the weekend of May 3-5, 2013, the event will be slated as the first of a ten-race National series race, bringing the top race teams in the country to Irvine.
